Es reicht fünftausend Jahre zurück bis in die Zivilisation der Sumerer.<br /> <br /> Backgammon ist wohl eines der aufregendsten Glücksspiele, jedoch auch ohne Einsatz gespielt, bietet es Spannung und Unterhaltung.<br /> <br /> Das Spielbrett besteht aus vier Feldern; jeder Spieler hat ein Innen- und ein Außenfeld. Jedes Feld ist in sechs Zacken geteilt, die Innenfelder jeweils 1 bis 6, die Außenfelder jeweils 7 bis 12.<br /> <br /> Der Spieler hat die Aufgabe, seine fünfzehn Steine in sein Innenfeld zu bringen und sie von dort auszuwürfeln. Die Steine werden entsprechend der mit zwei Würfeln geworfenen Augenzahl vorgeschoben (ein Auge = eine Zacke), und zwar weg vom Innenfeld des Gegners über dessen Außenfeld hin zum eigenen Außenfeld und in das eigene Innenfeld.
